Prepare the Chocolate Pudding Layer: In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and milk for 2-3 minutes until it thickens. Pour the chocolate pudding over the cream cheese layer, spreading it evenly.
Add Whipped Topping: Top the chocolate pudding layer with the remaining 1 cup of whipped topping. Spread it out evenly to cover the entire surface.
Chill and Garnish: Refrigerate the lasagna for at least 4 hours or overnight for the best results. Before serving, garnish with chocolate shavings or crushed Oreos on top.
